NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) Nebraska - Support Group

NAMI Family Support Group meets virtually on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 6:30-8:00pm. This group is free to attend, and all are welcome.  NAMI Family Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Join a group and gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar experiences.This support group is structured, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to be heard and to get what they need. By sharing your experiences in a safe setting, you can gain hope and develop supportive relationships. This group allows your voice to be heard and provides an opportunity for your personal needs to be met. It encourages empathy, productive discussion and a sense of community. NAMI Nebraska Family-to-Family Class (Virtual) NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 8-session education program for family, friends and significant others of adults with mental health conditions. NAMI Family-to-Family provides information about anxiety, depressive disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and other mental health conditions. Other topics covered include communication, problem solving, treatment and recovery. The course is designed to increase understanding and advocacy skills while helping participants maintain their own well-being. The program is taught by trained family members who have a loved one with a mental health condition. NAMI Nebraska is offering the 8-week NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program free of charge to participants. Sessions are online from 5:30-8:00 p.m. on consecutive Tuesdays beginning February 3, 2026. Register here to attend this course
